Book Cover Designs by SVA Alumni Featured in ‘The New York Times’

The New York Times recently published “Book Covers: Before and After,” an online slideshow of proposed and final versions of covers for recent releases, featuring commentary on the creative and decision-making process by the titles’ designers and publishers. The story includes work by two BFA Graphic Design alumni: Adly Elewa (2011), who worked on Jeff VanderMeer’s novel Annihilation (FSG Originals, 2014), and Keith Hayes (2002), who created the cover for Rachel Urquhart’s novel The Visionist (Little, Brown, 2014).
