SVA alumnus and BBDO New York art director James Kuczynski (BFA 2011 Advertising) recently led the agency’s creative team in developing Save The Children’s Every Beat Matters campaign, which aims to bring basic lifesaving care to children around the world. The fully integrated, 360° campaign encompasses TV, print, social media, radio, billboards, an interactive installation and even a Billboard Top 10 charting song, OneRepublic’s new single “Feel Again,” which recently achieved Platinum status with one million downloads.
“With this campaign we thought of the simplest, most effective way to bring the idea to life,” Kuczynski recently told Little Black Book. “A beating heart is a symbol of life, and an EKG line on a heart monitor is something everyone understands. For print and online we had to convert hundreds of the heartbeats we recorded into an EKG-like cardiogram. It was an arduous process because we wanted to keep every heartbeat 100 per cent real.”
