Thirty-seven SVA students and alumni have advanced to the semi-final round of the 13th Annual Adobe Design Achievement Awards, which showcases individual and group projects created with Adobe software and honors talented individuals who have found a way to bridge the gap between creative arts and technology within their field of expertise.
MFA alumni who have advanced are Joongyeol Ahn (MPS 2013 Digital Photography), Shelly Au (MPS 2013 Digital Photography), Elizabeth Harnarine (MPS 2013 Digital Photography), Jin Ah Kim (MFA 2013 Computer Art), Ja In Lee (MFA 2013 Computer Art), Joonsung Lee (MFA 2013 Computer Art), Ruo Bing Li (MPS 2013 Digital Photography), Min Liu (MFA 2013 Computer Art), Alicia Martin (MFA 2013 Computer Art), John Mattiuzzi (MFA 2012 Computer Art), Rodrigo Olivar (MFA 2013 Computer Art), Randhy Rodriguez (MPS 2013 Digital Photography), Pei Wen Su (MFA 2013 Computer Art), Thai Truong (MFA 2013 Design) and Xun Wang (MFA 2013 Computer Art).
BFA alumni who have qualified for the semi-finals are Mina Choe (BFA 2013 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects), Hyung Kyu Choi (BFA 2012 Design), Andrew Collora (BFA 2013 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects), Hyejin June Hong (BFA 2013 Design), Hee Ra Kim (BFA 2013 Design), Woonji Kim (BFA 2013 Design), Elle Euikyung Lee (BFA 2013 Design), Seoung Jun Lee (BFA 2013 Design), Morr Meroz (BFA 2013 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects), Victoria Penzes (BFA 2013 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects), Tavvon Reynolds (BFA 2013 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects), Ellen Su (BFA 2013 Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects), and Zipeng Zhu (BFA 2013 Design).
In addition, current MFA Design Department students In Hee Bae, Kara Bermejo, Tomas de Carcer and Timothy Cohan; current MFA Illustration as Visual Essay Department student Moonsub Shin; and current BFA Design Department students Zemeta Choi, Min Kyung Kang, Hyunhwa Lee and Aemin Shim have also advanced.
